Moving out, hopefully moving up

Tue Nov 10, 2009, 10:09 AM
We were able to pay rent twice now! Wohoo! I think we might actually stay in business.

I know not many people read my journal, so I'm gonna back track. My husband and I started our own computer business 3 months ago and, like the million people who have "told us so", it's been kinda rough. A job is nice, in a way. You get paid an hourly wage, it's dependable and if the business flops, well hey, at least you're not the one going bankrupt. Well, we're the ones that might be going bankrupt. But we're not! We've actually made enough money over the passed 2 months to pay our rent every month, which is more than what most people have told us. Supposedly you're initial investment should cover 6 months rent in advance. Yikes, that's like 4K, and I hate to sound like I'm in the poor house, but we don't have 4K. We're breaking even though, and this is only our 3rd month!

We're moving out! I hope my parents never read this or they're going to feel really, really bad. But I'm so tired of living with my parents. I got married in February this year, and for those who have ever been living with your parents or inlaws, it is NOT that fun. The food and rent are free, but when my dad wakes up at 4AM and blares FOX News, or the dog won't stop whining, and heaven forbid you have 'alone time' with your spouse... yeah, you get where I'm going. So, hopefully by the end of this week our house will be ready to move into!

Hey Alex, good to see you still on DA. Yeah, I got married a few months back. Things are pretty good over here, but I still haven't graduated. I'm in my last semester though, so the end is near.

Hope things are going well with you. Kick me over a letter or note and update me on what's new.

:iconasaunders:
Thanks, 3DS Max is definitely a tricky program. It has a very steep learning curve, but with a couple hard hours of progress each week, it'll get a lot easier. Keep going with it. :)
